Dhara Hari Foundation Launches “SNEHAN” Program to Empower Slum Children and Promote Environmental Awareness in Trilokpuri, Delhi
The Dhara Hari Foundation has launched a new initiative titled “SNEHAN” in Trilokpuri, Delhi, aimed at empowering children living in slum communities while raising awareness about critical environmental issues.
As part of the program, a special workshop was organized where slum children were introduced to the importance of environmental conservation and the challenges posed by climate change. The interactive session focused on educating young minds about sustainability, cleanliness, and their role in protecting the planet.
A plantation drive was also conducted, during which the children actively participated in planting saplings in their locality, symbolizing their commitment to a greener future.
Renowned environmental advocate and professor at GTB Hospital, Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, addressed the gathering. He spoke about the urgent issues arising due to climate change and the significance of community participation in mitigating its effects.
The “SNEHAN” initiative reflects Dhara Hari Foundation’s ongoing efforts to foster environmental stewardship and social upliftment at the grassroots level.
